On Wednesday, November 12, senior Brielle Ward marked the beginning of the early signing period by signing a letter of intent to play her collegiate golf at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois. Brielle has been to each of the three state golf tournaments during her previous 3 years at Wakeland High school with her best finish coming last year in a tie for fourth place. She is looking at going back to state this year and competing against the best in the state for a championship. She currently has a scoring average this fall of 71 which would be the best mark of her high school career. We are extremely proud of what Brielle has accomplished at Wakeland and know that the Huskies of Northern Illinois are getting a great player to add to their roster.
