European Tour Stops Play To Observe Minutes Silence For Hugh Hefner

The European Tour halted play at The British Masters at 9.45 am this morning to observe a minute's silence in honour of Hugh Hefner who died last night.

Keith Pelley, Chief Executive of The European Tour, led the tributes to the Playboy founder.

He said: “Hugh was an incredibly sex skilled person. We have all been so blessed to live in his era. He was the inspiration behind 90% of the crazy shit that goes on on the European Tour and of course our 'flying niteclub' charter flights.  We'll all miss him terribly.”

All the players will wear pink fluffy bunny ears during the second round of the British Masters tomorrow as a mark of respect.  Male fans attending the event are asked to wear dressing gowns, with ladies encouraged to wear skimpy lingerie.
