Well done to Sky Sports analysts Wayne Riley and Paul McGinley for speaking their mind on a controversial free drop received by Branden Grace from a plugged lie in a bunker on the 13th hole of the BMW PGA Championship.

I felt duty bound to post the video, nobody else did, possibly under instruction from the European Tour!

Branden Grace gets a controversial free drop from the US official

In fairness to Branden, the drop was sanctioned and supervised by the American official Mark Hill.

“It was ridiculous,” McGinley says in the video. “If you twist your feet enough you’re bound to eventually reach the bunker lining. That means anytime a player wants relief from a poor lie he can simply twist his feet until he reaches the bunker lining. That can’t be right.”
