Brooks Cupcake. Close enough!

Dustin Johnson is unbackable at 9/2 having notched up four top 10's and never missed a cut at Las Colinas but for me the real value in the win only market has to be Brooks Koepka at an enticing 18/1.  T16 here in 2015 and lost out in a playoff to Sergio last year.  Brooks is coming off a T16 at Sawgrass where his short putting stats were field topping and continues the good form he showed in Texas (2nd) and Augusta (T11).

Doc's Top Five Byron Nelson Bets

Jason Dufner 40/1

Jason hasn't changed a bit!

Dufner didn't feature at The Players but importantly made the cut to keep a long streak going. Super solid all season skirting the outside of the top-10 at The Honda, Valspar, Houston and The Heritage.  Former winner here in 2012 and two T8's since 2011.

Marc Leishman 55/1

Aussie good in wind.

Out to 55/1 after missing the cut at Sawgrass and not making the weekend here either for the last two years.  But that's not going to put me off the Arnie winner who has five top-12 finishes including two T3's (2012 & 2014) on the course.  If it gets windy and wet as forecast at the weekend, Marc is your man.

Louis Oosthuizen 33/1

Louis likes his farming!

Added a 46inch shaft to his Ping G driver at Sawgrass and gained a whopping 10 yards and comes to a course where he can open the shoulders this week.  Oosty's T2 at The Players showed how good he can be when the putts drop and while he doesn't have pervious form any better than a T11 in 2014 at TPC Four Seasons, he's the form dog this week.

Ryan Palmer 50/1

Ryan at home.

Another man that missed the cut at Sawgrass but comes "home" to Texas this week and will be comfortable  in the muggy, wet and breezy conditions that Texas brings at this time of year. T6 in San Antonio and T11 at Hilton Head with great iron play and has three top-10's in this event since 2011 with a best of solo second that year when losing out to Keegan Bradley in a playoff.

Tony Finau 40/1

Tony can turn on the power again this week.

Impressive T10 and T12 on his previous two visits to Irving Texas and even though he didn't make the weekend at Sawgrass, is in great form.  From a solo 5th at the Valspar to a T3 at the Texas Open, Tony's Greens in Regulation stats have been immense and with a little less pressure on driving accuracy this week he can contend.

Long Odds Glory Shot

Charl is a hairy man!

Hard to see a 400/1 shot like Si Woo Kim coming through this week but one man I did see who seemed overpriced at 55/1 was Charl Schwartzel.  He was 3rd here in 2013, as he was at this years Masters.  And if it gets windy watch out for the Sith Ifricans!
