The boys shot 319 on the first day, then really turned it on for a second day 301 which was the best team score of the second round. It was also the best team score turned in by our boys team in over 7 years. The individual scoring was as follows:
Golfer: Round 1 Round 2
Matt Whitney 80 73
Harrison Hicks 77 75
Drake Kube 79 76
Jackson Tuthill 83 86
Luke Whitney 85 77
Following that, on Monday, February 29th the boys played in the 55th annual Jesuit Dallas Invitational tournament on the masters course at Brookhaven Country Club. The boys followed their great round on Saturday with another great round of 306. This was good enough to win the tournament by 5 strokes over the host school Jesuit. Matt and Luke also finished the tournament in a tie for fourth place individually from a field of over 100 players. The team of Matt (73), Luke (73), Jackson (78), Drake (82) and Alex Lazar (83) played great to come out on top of a strong field including some 6A powers.
This week, we are looking forward to the district preview at the Bridges golf club in Gunter, TX on Friday and Saturday where we will try to come out on top of some strong teams in our district. District 9-5A has some of the strongest teams in our region and it looks to be a good battle as we move into the district tournament season.

The varsity boys team played in two tournaments the last weekend in February and came away with some hardware to start their spring season on a great note. In the Region 2 preview at Rockwall golf and Athletic club, which was a 36 hole event played on Feb 26-27th, the boys took third place in a strong field of state contenders from our region.The boys shot 319 on the first day, then really turned it on for a second day 301 which was the best team score of the second round.
