Brielle Ward - Regional Champion

On Wednesday and Thursday, April 15 and 16th, Brielle Ward competed in the region 2 golf tournament at Rockwall golf and athletic club off the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall.  The weather was great both days and the girls played a par 72 course that measured out around 5,500 yards in length.

For the second consecutive year, Brielle finished the regional tournament at the top.  This time she won the tournament by an amazing 8 strokes over her nearest competitor.  She shot two consecutive under par rounds, 71 on day 1 and 70 on the second day to shoot a total of 3 under 141 for the 36 hole tournament.  She was in complete control of the course and her game for the two days coming in with 6 birdies and 3 bogeys overall.  On the second day, she had no bogeys as she put more distance between herself and her nearest competitor.

Up next is the state championship near Bastrop, TX at the Hyatt lost pines resort, Wolfdancer golf club.  Good luck Brielle as you compete for the state championship.
