Varsity Boys take First place at "Coyote Classic"

Congratulations to the varsity boys golf team for their excellent showing at the "Coyote Classic" tournament at Westridge golf course on Monday morning.  The boys took home the championship with the best team score that Wakeland boys have had in several years.  As a team, they shot 308 which was 11 strokes clear of second place.  Akash Raola led the team with a season best even par round of 72 which was good for individual champion honors.  Drake Kube took overall 6th place with a solid round of 77.  Jake Livermore broke 80 for the first time as a Wakeland golfer with a round of 79.  Jake Roberts sank 2 eagles on his way to shooting a career best 80 and Jackson Tuthill rounded out our scoring with a solid round of 81.  These guys have set the bar high and will look to top it in their next tournament on Monday at Twin Creeks.  Wish them luck and congratulations.
