Over the last few years, I have listen to golfers saying "I liked where I was staying, but we spent too much time in the bus travelling from place to place".When you are choosing a set of golf courses to play in Ireland; I would recommend looking at specific areas such as, Northern Ireland, North West of Ireland, South West and the East of Ireland and pick a central location to hang your hat for most part of the trip. I am making this recommendation so that you can spend more time enjoying the town where you are located without too much travel time in the bus!

This is a sample golf trip I recently put together for 16 golfers based in Dublin and Northern Ireland
Day 1
Arrive into Dublin airport
Tee times: The K-Club (40 minutes from the Airport, and 1hr 10 minutes to the hotel depending on traffic)
Check into the Merrion Hotel
Dinner suggestion: Patrick Guilbaud
Day 2
Tee times: The European Club (60 minutes bus from the Hotel)
Accommodation: The Merrion Hotel
Dinner Suggestion: Chapter 1
Day 3
Tee times: Royal County Down (2 hrs to RCD and another 2hrs to Bushmills)
Accommodation: Bushmills
Dinner Suggestions: Bushmills
Day 4
Tee times: Royal Portrush (3 hrs to the Merrion Hotel)
Accommodation: The Merrion Hotel
Dinner suggestion: The Cliff House
Day 5
Tee times: Baltray, Co. Louth (1 hr to Baltray)
Accommodation: The Merrion Hotel
Dinner suggestion: The Green Room/Matt the Threshers
Day 6
Tee times: Portmarnock Old (30 minutes from the Hotel, depending on traffic)
Accommodation: The Merrion Hotel
Dinner suggestion: Pichet
Day 7
Transfer to Dublin Airport and fly home (30 minutes from the Hotel, depending on traffic)
